Popular to contrary belief, DJs do not just play music. They entertain! Now you may be thinking "What's the difference?". The difference between a DJ and one who can entertain is night and day. A Professional will know how to interact with a crowd and captivate a dance floor in such a way as to make the event one they will never forget. DJ Sensations DJ Company recently performed a wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The reception started at 6:30, and as guests arrived the music started playing which set the mood for the night. During this time, we kept the music at a nice volume level which would allow guests to talk and interact with others. We kicked it up a notch once things got started! Later in the evening after dinner, toasts, cake cutting and the first dance, all guests lined up to begin dancing. Within seconds the dance floor was packed! This continued for 45 minutes straight and the crowd did not want to stop! We played a variety of genres that held guests on the floor and made announcements to keep the crowd moving. Now let's take this into perspective. Would the dance floor have been packed if the genres had been strictly set to current hits? Maybe and maybe not! Depends on the crowd and what the client's are looking for. This is where we incorporate our reading skills. Crowd reading skills that is! By watching the crowd we can gather what songs attract the younger, older and middle aged crowds. As the dancing began, we started with Cha-Cha Slide as well as throwing in Michael Jackson, The Temptations, The Bee Gees, Footloose by Kenny Loggins and many others. As you can see we played a variety of genres. When you consider entertainment, price should not play a factor and every DJ will not be the same. Just because you may find a cheaper DJ, does not mean he will deliver. The pricing reflects a DJ's talent, professionalism and years of experience in the field.
