Why We Charge What We Do!

We have all heard the saying "You get what you pay for!". This is 100% true! In fact, hiring a cheap DJ does not insure that you will have the time of your life. As Professionals, we go through proper training to insure that we provide you with the best experience possible. All DJs are NOT the same, and that is why we attend training seminars, expos and classes to bring our best foot forward. Keep in mind that the "great deal" you got, may not be worth it in the end. Usually when a company or other DJ operates at such a low price, they aren't actually running a successful business. Charging low prices doesn't insure the office overhead, utility bill and expenses are paid for. Next time you hire a DJ, keep in mind that with price comes the experience level, personal value and other factors. This is not as simple as you may think, and having an iPod and a set of speakers is not a DJ either. A DJ will have experience in the field, and know how to interact with the crowd in a way that will give them moving on the dancefloor! As for us, we have been in the business for 5 1/2 years and truly value each and every client that we come in contact with. Our owner, Chandler Collins has received training and the certifications required to be a "Professional". He continues learning and growing everyday to provide you with the BEST in entertainment!

Why Your Website Is Important To Your Business!

You may have heard the saying, "Your Website is the client's first impression of who you are and the services you offer." This saying is most definitely true! In fact, your website should be what the clients see first! In order to make a good impression, it is crucial to have a good design elements and organization to your website. These elements include text placement, photos, information and how you integrate social media. DJ Sensations DJ Company has recently undergone a website redesign. This redesign includes easily accessible text, photos from events, the services and packages we offer, lighting options and pricing for additional services. We have also incorporated the most important element-online event and song-list planning! This feature will enable clients to better plan their event at just the click of a button. Most importantly, this new feature will take our company and our events to the next level! As business owners, we should carefully consider our website layout, branding, text-placement and organization. Clients base their first impression off a website. A poor website means fewer opportunities to make a client's dreams come true for their special event.

Multi-op or Single Op. Which is right for you?

We all have probably had the question pop into our head at-least more than once... "Should I remain a single-op company or go multi-op? " These are hard questions to answer and staying single-op may actually be better for your business. Here's why...

A single-op company operates with only 1 person or a sole proprietor. This enables you to grow at "your pace"without having multiple DJs on staff. However, you should always be licensed, registered and insured.

A multi-op company operates with multiple DJs on staff and usually books a large variety of events per year. That being said, you cannot always be guaranteed that the DJ you meet at the consultation will be your DJ on the day of the event. Unfortunately, that is quite common in the industry today. When considering this route these are the things you should keep in mind:

1) It is always a good idea to book more than 50 gigs A YEAR before proceeding down this path.

2) Always have a written agreement that each employee sign. This ensures that each person get's paid the same amount and receives the same treatment in your company. Another consideration is whether you decide if your employees will be independent contractors representing your brand, or actual full/part time employees. What's the difference? An independent contractor is one who represents your brand only on occasion (An event, bridal show, etc) and is not exclusive. A full/part time employee is one who works "exclusively" for your company.

3) Keep in mind that YOU are responsible for the DJ's performance level and professionalism. You have a well established brand and you want to keep your reputation high.

4) You must have enough bookings to fill in your employee's calendar(s). If this is not you, then you may want to consider staying single-op until the appropriate time comes.

As Professional DJs in this industry we all operate at a different level. Whether you are an up and coming DJ or one who has been in this industry for more than 5 1/2 years, we hope this has been of great help to you! Here at DJ Sensations DJ Company, we take every client, guest and event seriously by going beyond the call of duty to ensure that everyone has the time of their lives! If you would like further assistance or have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@DJSensationsOnline.com or call us at (919) 675-0113.
