Music History-September 5th, 2013

As DJs, we love music! It's a part of our everyday lives which creates various moods and feelings. Today, let's take a look at September 5th. Who was born and what took place in relation to music history?

 1969- Dweezil Zappa was born. His is known as an American rocker.


1966- R&B singer Terry Lynn Ellis of En Vogue was born. Her album Southern Gal became popular.


1946- Queen's famous rocker was born by the name of Freddie Mercury Bulsara. One of Queen's most well known hits was "Bohemian Rhapsody." This is still played today!


1943-Steve Miller of The Steve Miller Band was born. He is most commonly known as an American rocker who produced the hit "Swing town".


1943-Joe Frazier of The Impalas was born. Unfortunately The Impalas were only active from 1958 until 1961 with Joe being the lead singer.


1939-John Stewart (The Kingston Trio) was also born. The group helped with the launch of the 50s and 60s time period.
